Hi! I’m Diane
Hey there! Welcome to my website! My name is Diane and I am so happy that you are here!
I am the educator and writer behind One Giggle At A Time. I graduated from Youngstown State University with an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
First grade is definitely where my heart is! I taught first grade for 30 years. Same district…same building…but I can promise you…no two years WERE EVER the same!
I am a strong believer in creating a classroom environment where everyone feels safe and welcome, and where every child feels like they are THE BEST OF THE BEST!! I also truly believe that laughter is the best medicine, and movement is the key to learning when you are little…so…we giggle, and wiggle A WHOLE LOT in first grade!
I am a wife and a mother of two amazing sons, who continue to make me proud and thankful on a daily basis. I am an avid reader and nap taker, and I believe in finding joy in the journey.
My love of teaching
I have been a teacher author on Teachers Pay Teachers since 2014. I love creating new things for the classroom, and starting my own TPT shop was one of the best decisions I ever made. It has given me the opportunity to become part of a worldwide teaching community that I am blessed to be able to collaborate with and learn from on a daily basis.
Knowing that my lessons are being used all over the world is a dream come true, and getting to learn from all of you is priceless. I have even started my own shop here on my website so I can better serve my customers.
I love so many aspects of teaching, and because of that, I create resources for a wide range of areas….everything from core academic subjects, to social emotional learning, and anything from classroom management and family communication needs, to stuff that is just FUN to do in the classroom!
During this journey I have been on, I have also been inspired to write children’s books. These books have been so fun to write and I love hearing from children everywhere about how these books have helped them:
